I dont really think they where meant to be villains, because when push comes to shove they really do the right thing. I remember that in a few movies they damn near killed them selves to help Ash, it even happens a few times in the series. This is why I will always love these two, because their not evil, just confused, its like their suffering from peer pressure or something to impress their boss. Sad choices.

I could write an essay on why Jessie, James and Meowth shouldn’t be considered the villains and why they’re perfect people and why they’re perfect for each other in the family sense, including Meowth. I mean sure in B/W they’re a lot more threatening, but the other like 14 years worth of the anime? No. They’re just… too soft. They both have extenuating circumstances when it comes to why they’re in Team Rocket. Neither of them joined purely because they were mean people and wanted to steal or hurt Pokemon. Jessie was an orphan and her mother was in Team Rocket. James ran away because his parents tried to force him into getting married to a girl he hated. Meowth was abandoned by the rest of the Meowth because he learned to talk. They all joined because it was really the only place they felt like they belonged.

And I could also go on and on and on about how they’re NOT failures. They fail at being bad. There are plenty of episodes where they show them all having special talents. Jessie is amazing at contests, James can do a ton of stuff they never show except in certain episodes (PokeRinger, Orienteering, poetry?, contests). Plus James is just a total sweetheart omg don’t even get me started on him alone okay. Neither of them are actually bad at Pokemon battles unless they’re up against Ash & Co. MEOWTH CAN TALK. WITHOUT TELEPATHY. If that doesn’t prove how freaking SMART he is then what does?

I JUST LOVE THEM OKAY.

look at the emotion on their faces i

That and they have such GREAT attachments to their pokemon, which often get emotional, like with James’ Cacnea, and Jessie’s Dustox (which watching them give them up made my cry a bit more that the oh-so-classic Bye Bye Butterfree)

We cannot ignore the episode where Jessie and James give up Arbok and Weezing.

A poacher…..keep this in mind that Team Rocket is an organization built around stealing pokemon and occasionally mutilating them (Slowpoke Tails) to use as soldiers and for profit….a POACHER is hunting down a herd of Ekans and Koffing.
We will ignore how convenient that is….

This Poacher has a high level Fearow and a fucking TYRANTITAR that spams Hyper Beams. And what does Team Rocket do, despite Arbok, Weezing, and even WOBBUFFET getting torn apart by this guy?

To rescue the Ekans and Weezing trapped in these electrified cages, Meowth uses his claws to pick the lock, getting electrocuted CONSTANTLY in the process, stating that he can take it due to his constant encounters with Pikachu.

Then, realizing that there’s no way for Arbok and Weezing to win against this Tyrantitar, Jessie and James plead for them to lead their respective herds to safety. They have to beg, as well, as Arbok and Weezing have been with them since the beginning. With tears in their eyes, they flee, leading the others to safety.

The poacher orders the Tyranitar to Hyper Beam the herd, and MEOWTH leaps in the way, slashing it in the eyes, but takes a full on Hyper Beam regardless. Arbok and Weezing turn around, wanting to help, over and over. And Team Rocket, using only THEIR BARE HANDS, leap onto this Tyranitar, taking hyper beam after hyper beam to shield their pokemon, and in the end while they lose. Beaten, broken, they still muster the strength to hold on to the Poacher’s legs to keep him from walking.

These are the perfect characters. The most human of the entire cast in all of Pokemon. They starve with one another (sharing a single bean), they fight for one another, they always support one another. James even gave up his prized bottle cap collection to save Meowth’s life, hurling them to fake a Payday attack, a move Meowth unfortunately could never learn (making him useless in Giovanni’s eyes).

The best characters.

Shit, man…

2016 went to like a truck stop, like off out in the middle of nowhere, went to like a bathroom and on the wall it said “call for love at 12:00 pm,” and then just a big hairy anus dude came in and then 2016 was just, 2016 didn’t even flinch. It just went in, fucking spread those ass cheeks apart and went to town on that hairy ass.

“That line was an interesting moment. At the time, the choice I was making is that [Bucky] had realized there was no way he was getting out of there, and someone was gonna die, whether it was gonna be him, Steve or Tony. When he says that line, to me, it was a turning point — he was, like, ‘Okay, I know what you want me to say, and I’m just gonna say it.’ When someone comes at you over and over again, and they can’t hear you, they can’t see you’re pleading with them, you’re trying to figure out how to get through to them and they just won’t accept it, at some point you just give in, and you go, ‘that’s right, that’s what you want.’ Of course [Bucky] didn’t remember them all.” —  Sebastian Stan

Wow. I had honestly taken this statement at face value but if this is true then Bucky lying about the extent of what he remembers isn’t an isolated incident, it becomes a pattern, a strategy: Bucky intentionally and deliberately using his memories, the only thing he truly owns at this point, as a bargaining chip throughout the entire course of the movie to steer the events if not in his favor, then at the very least toward what he considers an acceptable outcome, namely sparing everyone else, and especially Steve, the pain of having to deal with his shit. We talk a lot about Bucky’s lack of agency, but this right here? This is him seizing and wielding the only tool at his disposal to exert some influence on the narrative, despite having been left with almost no options.

In Bucharest, he lies to make Steve go away. He wants Steve to distrust him, to give up on him, and the only way he can see of accomplishing that is to pretend that there’s not a “Bucky” anymore. He tries to shut Steve out completely, tries to not even look (and fails, but he’s only human) as Steve is escorted away from the glass cage. When he’s alone with the alleged psychologist though, he has no reason to think Steve’s listening and no reason to lie, so he tells the truth, a truth that is very important to him, especially in the face of being once again trapped and examined by people who look at him and see only a weapon: “my name is Bucky”.

Later, as he wakes up with his arm trapped in the vice, he is hurt and disoriented and so relieved when he sees Steve, that he can’t hide it. But it doesn’t matter, because he quickly realizes that there’s no point in pretending anymore: Steve has just done exactly what Bucky feared from the start: compromised himself for Bucky in a way that he can’t take back. And Sam too. They made their choice, stupidly, impossibly: they’re here for him. They need Bucky’s honesty now, or it will be all for nothing. So Bucky gives it to them. He finally tells Steve that he knows him, that he remembers him (the fact that it makes him so desperately happy to be able to recite every trivial little detail, every hard won scrap of memory that is a testament to how much Steve means to him, is made all the more heartbreaking by the fact that he only does it because it’s become necessary). He tells Steve and Sam about his encounter with Zemo, about the Siberian facility, about the making and training of the other Winter Soldiers. The three of them have a common objective now, a mission, and Bucky needs them, wants them, to trust him.

It’s clear that Bucky put a lot of effort into stitching together all the bits and pieces of memory he could dredge up. And he did a good job of it. Does he already know that there are still things he’s missing?  Or does he realize that only when he sees the beginning of that video? Given how committed he is to record and preserve in writing whatever comes back to him, does that realization make him feel like he’s failed all over again those people he couldn’t even remember killing?

Whatever the answer, if we believe Sebastian’s words, in that moment up there Bucky is choosing to lie again. Telling Tony what Tony wants to hear. Giving Tony the excuse Tony clearly is looking for to just go ahead and murder him. He has reached the conclusion that someone is going to die in that place, and he says what he hopes will ensure that that someone will be him.

Dave, Jade, and Karkat share a house and are in love. They spend many years together, overseeing Troll Kingdom now and again, but more in a distant Queen Elizabeth way where they’re not in control and more like high-profile celebrities

Dave produces a series of Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff movies, Jade tinkers with her inventions and gardens all day, and Karkat probably gets his own talk show where he discusses politics and fights against any and all corruption in the media. He sees himself as a protector of the people even though he mostly just vents and pokes fun at politicians each night

For four years, they live together happily, often initiating group get-together’s because Jade is determined to keep their large friend group connected. Although they think about Terezi a lot, and Dave finds himself snap chatting her all the time, drawing her stupid pictures to try to keep her spirits high, and they kind of flirt a little, and Dave feels kind of bad

Except Karkat and Jade are like “you obviously love her too we’re not mad about it or anything” and they resolve to all ask Terezi out on a group date once she returns

Meanwhile Terezi stumbles upon the black (white?) hole, a bunch of her friends including Nepeta and Vriska tumble out, and Terezi takes them back home

Nepeta awkwardly stays with Jade, Dave, Karkat, and Terezi at their hive, and watches them all dance around their conflicted feelings for one another, and decides to play matchmaker. Jade has the added reservations about Nepeta being there, since the last time she saw Nepeta, she was Davepetasprite, and they kissed, and it was nice, even with her cat lips. And Nepeta still has feelings for Karkat and also blossoming feelings for Jade too. So on and so on…

Eventually all five of them end up dating each other. Their house is very full but everyone is very happy
